Results 2023

Our students were jumping for joy with yet another year of outstanding results with 36 percent of students achieving A* and A grades and 68 percent achieving A* to B.

Oliver Watkins, Director of The Sixth Form at Horsforth, said, “Knowing that the grading of this year’s A Levels has gone back to pre-pandemic levels, I honestly couldn’t be happier with our results, which are significantly higher than 2019 when 26 percent achieved A* and A. I want to offer huge congratulations to all the students who worked so hard and will now reap the benefits of that work. I also want to say a massive thank you to my amazing team of staff whose passion and dedication has empowered our students to achieve these results.”

Our sixth form offers students everything they need to succeed. Last September saw the opening of our new, state-of-the-art sixth form campus, which includes IT classrooms, laboratories, a lecture theatre with bleacher seating and LED screen, as well as a large common room, with learning pods, a charging station and café. We also offers over 90 enrichment activities including debating, photography, golf and even international exchanges.

Ella Ward who achieved four A* grades in English Language, Maths, Physics and EPQ said “I’m over the moon with my results as they have secured my place at the University of Manchester to read Physics with Astrophysics. I’ve worked hard, but have felt supported all the way, and can’t wait for what comes next”.
