Last week our Sixth Formers held their annual Mini Olympics, a charity fundraising event for Alzheimers UK.
The students competed in 6 teams based on their Super Tutor Groups: Team Pokemon, Team Arthur, Team Mr Men & Little Miss, Team Scooby-Doo, Team Lazy Town and Team Spongebob!
Students took part in events such as pass the balloon, dodgeball, a wheel barrow race, a sack race and a tug of war finale. They also photographed, judged and scored the events and refereed the dodgeball. New features this year included a bake sale to add to the charity fundraising and the incorporation of photo-finish technology to decide on the more controversial moments!
Team Pokemon held the early lead in the competition but were eventually eclipsed by a strong second half performance from Team Scooby Doo.
Monies raised from entry fees and the cake sale are still being counted but will be donated to Alzheimers UK very soon.
Well done to all of our Sixth Formers involved in this worthy cause.
